A new change!

So, after two years of teaching 5yr olds at Prairie Lakes Church, I decided it was time for a change. Eric served this last year with me, but with the house being built we decided it would be a good idea for him to take a year off. So, that left me with many age groups to chose from. So I decided to help in the "Scooters" room (the 12-18mo olds)! Today was my first Sunday and there was 4 of us in the room with 7 kids and that was a good thing! Each kid received a nickname by the end of the service..."sharer, taker, screamer, tator (his name was Tate), snuggler, etc. My hour and 15 minutes of service time was spent with the one nicknamed "Snuggler"a little boy named Thomas sitting on my lap the whole time! He didn't want to play, sit on his own, or even eat cheerios. He just clutched his blankie, sucked his thumb, and made his home on my lap! I learned my lesson when I suggested he play and just the mention of the word play sent him into a crying spell! Oh boy! So I just decided I would snuggle up to this boy and make him feel loved until his parents came back. So, not a lot of playing for me this time....maybe next time! -Rose
