Sawyer's Hospital Stay & Sweet Corn...

yep, that is a weird title!
So first off is Sawyer enjoying some yummy sweet corn! Yum Yum!

Then for his surgery. As most of you already know he had surgery on Wednesday for ureteral reattachment. Doctor was very impressed with his anatomy and said he was a perfect specimen. Surgery went well and he was done an hour earlier than what they thought. He was released the next afternoon and we arrived home last night. He has been eating(little bits) and drinking(moderately) and producing pretty decent diapers(urine ones...still waiting on a dirty one). He has had a low grade fever but for the most part the pain medicine they gave us seems to be working and he seems to be acting pretty normal besides the eating part. It is still hard to look at his incision which is approx 3-4 inches across his lower abdomen and to see the bloody diapers(which they said is common for up to 2 weeks), but as long as he isn't in pain we are doing alright. We just keep hoping that each day gets better and that soon he will be his normal self and in 6 weeks at our followup appt the doctor confirms that everything is working properly and that he is 100%. The photo below is of him the day of surgery afterwards snuggling with big brother and then the following day up and playing! We just hope to get back to that sweet laughing boy at the top with the sweet corn soon!
